Sometimes good recipes are easy. That thought is probably also the dev team by Naim in Salisbury when she designed the NAIT XS: took their top amplifier Supernait (3500 euro, 9/07), entschlackte its facilities as much as possible and the new, significantly cheaper version was finished. Clearly, the distance was but lower than that of the little brother.
As equal partner turned out to the Linn Majik I (1/08), like the Supernait stereoplay highlight crowned. Both amps had their advocates. Preferred that one the lush timbres of the XS, so violins and guitars, rich wood body were to hear and voices such as that of Johnny Cash for “One” (“American III, solitary man”;) Columbia) sonorer resounded the others referenced in the finer articulation, the deeper down enough bass and minimal open height of Majik I.
