Motorola Is Preparing a Bike Mod Based on Project Tango for The Moto Z

“Smartphones that understand space as you would a human being”. That’s what promises interesting technology of Google Project Tango that we could know in greater depth the last Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona.
However, the most famous project of Google ATAP After the fall of the Ara Project and its modular smartphone did not start very well, because although it was announced that the first devices with Project Tango would arrive in summer, the truth is that we have only seen numerous delays of the first terminal which will be commercially integrated Lenovo PHAB 2 Pro.
Either way, the integration of technology survey and mapping in three dimensional space will sooner or later our devices, and is only a matter of time that smartphones are smart with regard to space and the objects that surround them.
The practical applications are many and very interesting, as with a device capable of creating models in 3D from anywhere and and anything that you find to your around, it can measure distances and trajectories with total accuracy, allowing for example recognize objects, faces and people helping for example blind to move and to recognize the world that surrounds them with technology.

Lenovo is still very interested in Project Tango

Google had announced many and very important partners for the launch of Tango, but the truth is that the manufacturer who showed more interest in this technology is Lenovo, He already accompanied the Mountain View giant during the presentation at the MWC 2016.
The PHAB 2 Pro Chinese manufacturer should be as close, as rumored that finally will begin its distribution for Europe this month of December, to a price of 499 euros. You will have to wait, although Lenovo already glimpsed more devices that could integrate Tango coming soon.
It seems, from Lenovo would be worked to bring Project Tango to the Moto Z, in the form of a new bike Mod that would incorporate three-dimensional mapping capabilities Tango. It is not a strange solution, and indeed perhaps it is more reasonable that the launch specific devices with the new technology of Google ATAP, because in this case only have to purchase an accessory if you want to use the spatial intelligence in our smartphone.
It is likely that we have a Tango module that basically gives the bike Z Tango features.
Aymar de Lencquesaing, CEO of Motorola
Obviously, these statements of a person as important as the CEO of the company they can take almost as official confirmation that bike Z will have a Mod to use Tango soon. And now the question is, when will be available and at what price?
