Cultural events
In addition to the national and national festivals and public holidays, Venezuela has numerous Saints’ days due to the Roman Catholic tradition of the country, which are celebrated throughout the year. In addition, there are small festivals and parades that are well worth seeing, especially in rural areas.
At many festivals one can hear Venezuela’s traditional musical instrument, the cuatro. This is a four-sided guitar, as the name cuatro (German four) suggests.
Venezuela: climate
Travel times
The ideas of what is meant by a particularly favorable travel climate depend on a number of factors. Pure cultural travelers certainly see the climate differently than people who want to spend a pure beach holiday, for example. The state of health or age can also play an important role. Venezuela has a tropical climate, which means that it is consistently warm all year round. If you want to enjoy the sun, visit the rainforest or do a lot of hiking, the dry season is recommended: December to April. In the rainforest area it rains all year round, the coastal area is less affected. However, flooding can occur during the rainy season.
Climate table
The following table shows a range of climate data for the country. It should be noted, however, that the climatic conditions in different regions of the country can differ considerably from one another and thus also from the values shown. In addition, such monthly temperature averages say little about the possible current minimum or maximum temperatures. It is not uncommon for average temperatures of around 30 °C to reach maximum values of 40 °C or even more on a number of days. The table therefore only provides a general overview of the climatic conditions in Venezuela.

Many buildings made of clay bricks, which were built in the old colonial style during the Wilhelminian era, can be visited. The streets there are laid out like a chessboard. The port “La Vela del Coro”, about 12 km away, has been able to maintain its original shape to this day.
The historic center and port of Coro were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1993.
